This week our grammar lessons centered around prepositions. We learned about prepositions that tell location, time, and how things are done. Students filled in sentences with a variety of prepositions, completed task cards, and took an assessment.
We also read several chapters in Charlotte’s Web and completed the first half of the diary project, entries 1-12. Some students moved on to illustrations while others finished up the writing.

In social studies, we kicked off our study of the Northeast region while also reviewing the Southeast. We played games at the board, Around the World, and 5 Questions & 3 Clues to review facts, states and capitals before today’s quiz.

It was so much fun to see what everyone wore for the themes each day during Spirit Week.

In Morning Meeting we played a fun game of Hello, Mr. President where one person tried to guess which student was greeting them from behind. We also played Mind Reader and lots of academic games to review spelling-vocabulary and Southeast facts.

Today we attended Mrs. Royse’s class play, ‘Click Clack Moo,’ and each student wrote a piece of ‘fan mail’ to a member of the cast. We also hosted more prospective students. Thank you to Sale, Thomas, and Evan who hosted in 4E and Liza, Clara, and Annabelle who hosted in 4M.
